Brash Higgins is the project of Brad Hickey, a former New York sommelier who landed in McLaren Vale and began making experimental small-batch wines using traditional techniques including amphora ageing and native ferments. His Nero d'Avola, Grenache and Shiraz are regularly cited among the region's most interesting cult wines.

Visits

Brash Higgins operates strictly by appointment. Tastings run 1.5 to 2 hours and give deep access to the production philosophy and the Omensetter vineyard behind the cellar. Contact in advance to book.
