A Zen-inspired Grenache specialist with an appointment-only tasting room behind the Bekkers winery on Seaview Road.

A Zen-inspired wine project

In Praise of Shadows takes its name from the Junichiro Tanizaki essay on Japanese aesthetics and applies that thinking to the wines - quiet, restrained, single-variety Grenache from old McLaren Vale vines, made in tiny volumes.

Where to taste

The tasting room is behind the Bekkers winery on Seaview Road, by appointment only. Bookings are arranged via the website. The visit is deliberately small-format - a private flight, no walk-ins.
